About The Position

Susquehanna Park operates as a comprehensive addiction treatment and mental health facility in North Philadelphia, serving the recovery community. This residential treatment center provides both inpatient and outpatient programming for individuals navigating substance abuse treatment and co-occurring mental health challenges. We are seeking a program director to direct the implementation of substance abuse Homeless rehabilitation services. Oversee the maintenance of the site and equipment. Provide clinical and regulatory oversight to team consistent with agency policy and regulatory requirements. Provide support, education, counseling and guidance to clients in the recovery process. Ensure a safe, secure and pleasant environment, in compliance with Agency policies, procedures and applicable regulations. Implement the overall mission, values and beliefs of Horizon House in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Very good communication skill.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Some knowledge of multiple support systems for substance abusers.
  • Must be available for local travel.
  • Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Must be available for local travel and possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Social Services / Counseling psychology or a related field preferred
  • any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
  • May require crisis intervention for emergency situations.
  • May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
  • May be required to attend training to become a certified agency investigator.
