About The Position

This is a 12-month development program for final year undergraduate or Masters students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines, or fresh graduates from the class of 2026. The program aims to build foundational skills in engineering and technology within LSEG's dynamic, agile environment. Participants will explore potential career paths within the Engineering function in Fort Mill, gain knowledge of LSEG and financial markets, and engage in group projects aligned with LSEG goals. The program includes an 'Engineering Bootcamp', a mid-point skills offsite called 'Ignite', and opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications with study days. Graduates join on a permanent basis and are aligned to an Engineering Team from day one. Roles in Engineering involve applying deep technical and analytical expertise to build, operate, and improve platforms, products, services, and models. Specific tracks include Software & Platform Engineering, focusing on building and improving software and infrastructure, and Reliability Engineering, focused on identifying and reducing risks to performance and availability. The recruitment process will align candidate skills and interests with business needs for team placement.

Requirements

Final year undergraduate or Masters student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline, having completed all course requirements before August 2027.
Fresh graduate in class of 2026.
Genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path, as evidenced by studies, extracurriculars or work experience.
Strong interest in technology proven via work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies (e.g., internship in a technology role, technology focus in a university project, learning to code).
Demonstrable interest in financial markets built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
Curiosity for data and an ability to analyze information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
Ability to connect the dots and think strategically.
Focus, resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate with others, using communication skills.
Right to work in the US without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme and join on a permanent basis from day one.
Consideration for candidates beyond core software degrees (e.g., computer science, software engineering, Mathematics and Informatics) and candidates with physics, engineering, electronic degrees who can demonstrate an interest in Technology as evidenced by extracurriculars, work experience, or personal projects.
