About The Position

This 12-month graduate programme is designed to build foundational skills for success in the Engineering function at LSEG, based in New York. The programme includes a global induction, an 'Engineering Bootcamp' week, group projects aligned with LSEG goals, a mid-point skills offsite called 'Ignite', and opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications. Graduates join on a permanent basis and are aligned to an Engineering Team from day one. Roles in Engineering involve applying deep technical and analytical expertise to build, operate, and improve platforms, products, services, and models. These roles span software and platform engineering, reliability, quality, cyber security, service operations, service management, financial engineering, and data science, working across the full lifecycle to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement in a product-led, data-driven environment. Specific tracks include Software & Platform Engineering, focusing on building and improving software and infrastructure, and Reliability Engineering, focusing on identifying and reducing risks to performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Final year undergraduate or Masters student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Completed all course requirements before August 2027 or a fresh graduate in class of 2026.
  • Genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path.
  • Strong interest in technology proven via work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies.
  • Demonstrable interest in financial markets, built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
  • Curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
  • Ability to connect the dots and think strategically.
  • Focus, resilience, and flexibility to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, using communication skills.
  • Rights to work in the US without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme.
  • Candidates with physics, engineering, electronic degrees who can demonstrate an interest in Technology as evidenced by extracurriculars or work experience, or personal projects can apply.
