About The Position

This 12-month graduate programme is designed for final year undergraduate or Masters students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines, as well as recent graduates from the class of 2026. The programme aims to build foundational skills for future success in engineering roles within LSEG's Engineering function based in Boston. Graduates will gain knowledge of LSEG, financial markets, and the business through a global induction and an 'Engineering Bootcamp' week. They will participate in group projects aligned with LSEG goals, attend a mid-point skills offsite called ‘Ignite’, and have opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications with study days. Graduates join on a permanent basis and are aligned to an Engineering Team from day one. Roles within Engineering involve applying technical and analytical expertise to build, operate, and improve platforms, products, services, and models. This includes areas like software and platform engineering, reliability engineering, quality assurance, cyber security, service operations, service management, financial engineering, and data science, working across the full lifecycle to solve complex problems and ensure secure, resilient delivery in a product-led, data-driven environment. Specific tracks include Software & Platform Engineering, focusing on building and improving software and infrastructure, and Reliability Engineering, focused on identifying and reducing risks to performance and availability.

Requirements

Be a final year undergraduate or Masters student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline and have completed all the requirements of your course before August 2027 or a fresh graduate in class of 2026.
Have a genuine curiosity about Technology and strive to pursue a Technology career path, as evidenced by studies, extracurriculars or work experience.
Understand the breadth of the organisation, how it functions and the vital role that technology plays in supporting LSEG and its clients.
Have a strong interest in technology proven either via work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies (e.g., internship in a technology role, technology focus in a university project, learned to code or use a particular technology).
Have a demonstrable interest in financial markets, built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
Possess curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
Ability to connect the dots and think strategically.
Demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate with others, using communication skills.
Have the rights to work in the US without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme.
Consider candidates with degrees beyond core software (e.g., computer science, software engineering, Mathematics and Informatics), including physics, engineering, and electronic degrees, who can demonstrate an interest in Technology as evidenced by extracurriculars, work experience, or personal projects.
