About The Position

Teknion is currently hiring an Engineering Data Coordinator at our Fileco
facility.   The Engineering Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the
accuracy and integrity of Bills of Material (BOM) using BAAN system in a manner
consistent with Fileco’s practices and procedures.

Requirements

• College or University degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training, and work experience
• Working knowledge of general manufacturing practices and processes, engineering information systems, and project management skills
• Basic computer knowledge and skills (Word, Excel, BAAN)
• Working understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001
• High degree of interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Flexibility to deal with employees at all levels

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of relational databases, supported by a programming background, will be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• The Engineering Data Coordinator is responsible for providing reliable data that will serve as a tool/reference for a smooth flow of work among the Engineering team and other departments by ensuring the accuracy of BOM
• The incumbent is responsible for participating in the launching of new products by developing product configuration and structure using BAAN
• The incumbent is accountable for assisting in the successful implementation of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) by entering detailed BOM to reflect product specifications and cost/process improvements as specified on the ECN.
• The incumbent is responsible for satisfying customer requests by creating BOM for special products and service orders in a timely manner.
• The incumbent is responsible for performing other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor and/or Senior Management. (e.g. performs Quick Fix projects, clears out test projects by manually deleting upper and lower bills in customized BOM, cleans up signal codes and item groups)
