About The Position

The Engineering Coordinator provides administrative support to the company’s machining and fabrication process. In an office setting, this role is responsible for coordinating work order activities, engineering change documentation, purchase orders, and scheduling. The Engineering Coordinator works closely with internal departments, vendors, and customers to maintain efficient communication, organization, and workflow throughout the manufacturing process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain inspection reports and other engineering-related documentation.
  • Review, organize, and distribute shop drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Process and track incoming customer orders while creating and maintaining work orders.
  • Coordinate production schedules with the Machine Shop to meet customer timelines and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor customer orders and communicate schedule updates, delays, or changes as needed.
  • Assist with tooling orders, equipment repair requests, and raw material requisitions.
  • Prepare purchase orders for materials and labor services.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding rejected materials and returned parts.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Support outsourcing coordination and labor cost calculations for projects.
  • Assist with generating customer quotes and identifying opportunities for additional work.
  • Assist with drawing reviews, material take-offs, and cost estimates including labor, materials, and completion schedules.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
