About The Position
Dauch Corporation is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op to work with teams across engineering and business functions. The program provides hands-on experience applying academic knowledge to real-world projects and contributing to automotive technology development. The co-op must be available to work at least 25 hours per week year-round. Dauch Corporation is a driveline and metal-forming supplier serving the global automotive industry. Its product portfolio supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles. The company is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, and has operations in 24 countries and more than 175 locations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, industrial, materials science, or computer engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Available to work a minimum of 25 hours each week, year-round.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and other professionals with ongoing projects, including data analysis, design support, testing, and process improvement.
- Conduct research and gather information to support project goals and decision-making.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional collaborations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment or software tools relevant to the assigned department.
- Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and propose innovative solutions.
- Adhere to company safety regulations and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
