About The Position

This position involves entering and retrieving information from computer databases, updating records, files, and reservations, and responding to inquiries. The role requires transmitting information via computer, mail, or facsimile, and operating standard office equipment. Responsibilities include preparing documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining filing systems. The assistant will also compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities and business transactions, and enter and locate work-related information using computers or point of sale systems. The role also emphasizes adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service. This includes welcoming and assisting guests, anticipating their needs, and communicating clearly and professionally. Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are also key aspects of the position. The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Additional reasonable job duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment other than computers.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Skills in handling incoming and outgoing mail, including date stamping and distributing.
