Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Engineer-Transport – IV to join their team in Richardson, TX. This role is responsible for creating and executing Capacity Creation Requests (CCRs) to initiate US domestic network transport builds across ULH and OTN Mesh networks, based on market-level plans, customer capacity requirements, and internal transport needs. The engineer will play a key role in deploying new network technologies, adopting new provisioning systems, and performing regular capacity monitoring and forecasting for the transport network infrastructure. This position requires supporting Telecommunication's products and customers, coordinating with various departments for network growth, and performing wavelength rearrangements to optimize capacity. The role also involves supporting multi-year transport capacity forecasts, network builds, and capital funding requirements, as well as providing ad-hoc restoration during fiber cable outages. Collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring adherence to standards, and performing detailed equipment engineering are crucial. This includes developing installation specifications, ordering equipment and cables, and managing the central Network Inventory Database. The engineer will also be responsible for diversity analysis, creating diversification projects, and identifying/resolving issues. Additionally, the role involves providing data analysis, reports, and presentations, demonstrating leadership, and training junior engineers. Flexibility with a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties, is expected.
