Requirements

In-depth knowledge and advanced proficiency in CWDM/DWDM Optical Transport systems including: Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent.
Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
Decision making skills.
Superior organizational and planning skills.
Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects.
Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work independently.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Highly productive and pay close attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
Knowledge of related interconnect circuits type and features i.e. SONET/Dark Fiber.
Knowledge of wireless 4G and 5G wireless services as it pertains to architecture.
Able to multi-task multiple projects.
Project management.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes and standards, as well as their network portfolio maps.
Knowledge of Pathloss 5 microwave design software.
Familiarity with engineering and engineering economic principles.
5-7 years of experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry in a Transport engineering role.

Analysis and reporting on transport backhaul traffic.
Troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and planning skills including setting and communicating priorities, anticipating workload impact, delegating, following up on outstanding items, and providing focus in meetings.
Learning new technology quickly and applying working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects.
