About The Position

VPG is seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join the Stores Team within its Foil Division on a full-time basis. The role supports production by managing the receipt, storage, availability, issue, and tracking of materials and inventory. It requires coordination with Production, Planning, Quality, and Purchasing, along with accurate recordkeeping and inventory control using ERP/MRP systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Stores management, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SAP, ERP, or QAD systems.
• People-handling skills.
• Failure-analysis capability.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Stock control and reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge of material receipt, goods receipt notes (GRN), and material issuing.
• Knowledge of Production Planning and Scheduling, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Inventory Management, Demand Forecasting, Capacity Planning, and Supply Chain Management.

• Knowledge of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Issue materials to production departments according to approved requisitions and production schedules.
• Ensure raw materials, components, and consumables are available in line with the production plan.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP systems and physical stock registers.
• Apply FIFO and, where applicable, FEFO inventory practices.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and material-movement reports.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and inspection requirements.
• Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, components, consumables, and finished goods.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
