About The Position

The SAP GTS Functional Consultant works within Cardinal Health’s Software & Information Platforms organization, which configures, designs, administers, develops, implements, and supports application and information frameworks. The role provides techno-functional expertise spanning project and support teams, assesses change requirements, and develops SAP GTS solutions aligned with business needs and SAP best practices. The consultant supports internal teams with SAP GTS product guidance and issue resolution, contributes to integration and testing of new or existing products, and translates business processes and requirements into ERP solutions. The position also collaborates with external implementation partners and uses SAP GTS Legal Control expertise to draft testing scripts. Work involves complex projects and difficult technical problems, with general guidance on new projects and possible mentoring of less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in SAP GTS.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of SAP GTS E4H.
Thorough knowledge of GTS Compliance legal regulations under Legal Control.
Extensive knowledge of Legal Control for U.S.-related licenses.
In-depth understanding of global trade compliance, including Compliance, Legal Regulations, Customs (Import/Export), Legal Control, and Risk Management.
Proficiency integrating SAP GTS with ECC, S4/Hana, ASAPIO, and external systems, and designing scalable solutions aligned with business needs and SAP best practices.
Experience configuring and customizing SAP GTS for compliance, customs management (import/export), preference management, and product classifications.
Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including integration with Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Transportation Management (TM).
Familiarity with document type mapping, item category mapping, master data transfer, and change pointers.
Knowledge of BADI enhancements in S4 for document transfer.
Familiarity with S4-GTS integration enhancements, configuration, and reports related to document blocks and the overall document process.
Experience creating and reviewing solution designs and functional specifications to identify business process gaps.
Thorough understanding of SAP GTS Legal Control tables.
Experience integrating GTS compliance with non-SAP systems.

Responsibilities

Bridge project and support teams through techno-functional expertise.
Review the feasibility of new change requirements and provide optimal solutions.
Understand functional designs, technical designs, and architecture to be implemented on the ERP system.
Provide product support and guidance to internal teams for a specific ERP solution, resolving day-to-day queries and technical issues.
Support the solutioning team by integrating new and existing products during testing and production.
Implement business processes, requirements, and underlying ERP technology by translating them into ERP solutions.
Work with external implementation partners on GTS solutions and advocate for Cardinal Health.
Draft testing scripts using SAP GTS Legal Control subject-matter expertise.
