About The Position

FSH Tech builds software for public-sector organizations, including local governments, schools, libraries, and emergency services. The company is a small, high-agency team focused on creating impactful products and improving public services. Its engineering team uses Python, Postgres, Unix, TypeScript, and React, along with internal tools that deterministically generate Python and TypeScript.

The Platform Engineer will maintain tools that translate declarative configuration files into bespoke full-stack applications, supporting FSH’s approach to highly configurable software. The platform engineering team treats other engineering teams as customers and builds capabilities that help them develop products quickly, robustly, and elegantly. The role also involves mentoring client engineers and technical operators, simplifying customer needs into software abstractions, and helping define engineering culture. Employees are expected to live in New York City or Philadelphia and work from an office in either location.
