Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Engineer, Manufacturing Systems is part of the global Supply Chain organization and will focus on process improvements, change implementations and run support for the manufacturing execution system (MES). The ideal candidate has a passion for using digital systems to optimize day-to-day activities. They will use technology to improve supply chain performance, throughput and controls. They will partner with functional leads/SME’s, business stakeholders, and IT to develop new processes and solutions to meet business objectives. They will support all internal users of the MES system through user training, run support and realization of continuous improvement ideas.

Requirements

  • BS. Degree computer science, engineering, or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in (medical device) manufacturing industry with high exposure to shop floor operations
  • Experience with ERP and/or MES systems (SAP or Camstar)
  • Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, SAS, and Sarbanes Oxley is a plus
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems and information quickly
  • High problem-solving skills
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable to the business
  • Excellent Presentation, Communication & Inter-Personal skills
  • On-site presence in Danvers (Massachusetts) required

Responsibilities

  • Manage business change requests from initiation to completion
  • Lead and coordinate workshops with internal customers, process experts and IT
  • Ensure documentation of business process flow and business requirements
  • Coordinate the creation of technical solutions and introduction of these with the process owners and key users in the respective production areas
  • Develop training plans and coordinate training initiatives for functional teams
  • Proactively review and analyze processes and data to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • As first level support to shop floor users maintain an efficient support structure and system control plan and resolve support requests
