About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer – Digital Systems, you will execute activities to realise the digital manufacturing strategy within the business (internal and external supply chain). This will include fixing, improving and/or transforming current and future digital capability in line with the systems of record, differentiation and innovation framework and corporate roadmaps/architecture to deliver transformative Manufacturing capability. You will ensure the business and people are ready for the process change that the systems will introduce.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in STEM with 4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Software Engineering/Computer Science experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Software Engineering/Computer Science experience, OR Master’s degree in STEM, OR PhD in STEM, OR 6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Software Engineering/Computer Science experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SQL Server, with a proven ability to develop complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Competency in Python for developing scripts and user interfaces dedicated to automated data collection.
  • Experience using VBA to automate workflows, develop custom macros, and streamline tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Proven track record working within a high-volume manufacturing environment, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams including technicians and engineers.
  • Skilled in creating technical documentation and facilitating training sessions to ensure standardized operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition and responsible for mitigating against process deviation.
  • Operate a culture of zero defects within the organization. Works with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, SABRe and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes, digital systems and technologies to meet current or future requirements.
  • Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems and/or methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time. Capture, analyze and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
  • Deploy and implement standardized Digital Manufacturing processes and technologies working across the Commodity and Production lifecycle with Design and Operations functions ensuring business readiness in terms of people and process change to maximize the business benefit.
  • Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required. Identify, document and share best practice. Capture and utilize lessons learnt.
  • Responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role. Provides coaching and technical support to others within their area of competence.
  • Operate beneficial relationships with partners and suppliers to enable delivery of their objectives.
