About The Position

Engineer III is a mid-level position in the Facilities Engineering Department. The role requires advanced expertise and experience in maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Under the guidance of Engineering leadership, the Engineer III helps ensure healthcare-system infrastructure operates efficiently and complies with applicable regulations and standards. Patient care and infection-control standards are priorities and must be integrated into all work. The position uses the CMMS work-order system to communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets. Work may take place outside regularly scheduled shifts, in inclement weather, or during emergencies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks and other duties assigned by the Director or designee.
• Perform work in accordance with applicable building codes, accrediting-body requirements, life-safety codes, and NFPA requirements.
• Review and prioritize advanced maintenance tasks assigned by leadership and through the CMMS system, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Use specialized tools and methods to perform intricate repairs and maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
• Use the CMMS work-order system to communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.
