About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer for the Westin Tampa Bay. The role performs a variety of maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment; HVAC, painting, wall repair, and tile work; and upkeep of the hotel’s preventative maintenance program. The Engineer works closely with other team members and helps create an exceptional guest experience at the property.

Requirements

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
• Engaging and welcoming personality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and related items.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Maintain records and task logs as required by company policy and procedures.
• Prepare reports as requested by supervisors and submit requested reports and logs in a timely manner.
• Maintain the hotel's preventative maintenance program.
