Assess fleet health, performance, failure trends, replacement needs, and asset management plans for substation, transmission line, and distribution line assets using inspection, maintenance, operational, and asset data. Analyze complex technical data, develop business requirements, and recommend practical technical solutions, processes, procedures, standards, and documentation. Develop and maintain spare strategies, replacement recommendations, portfolio planning support, and risk-reduction actions to improve fleet reliability and inform long-term investment decisions. Evaluate equipment specifications, industry announcements, emerging technologies, and design standards to support equipment standardization, monitoring capabilities, and fleet performance. Analyze the population, application, condition, and risk of distribution substation breakers, line breakers, and reclosers across the FirstEnergy fleet in coordination with asset management, Asset Information & Tools, distribution engineering, and other stakeholders. Assess and support online asset monitoring programs, including data requirements, performance indicators, and operational value. Support training material development for new and existing distribution operational technology in coordination with workforce development and subject matter experts. Provide technical support to leadership, distribution engineering, asset management, Asset Information & Tools, FE Utilities, and other internal partners. Manage changing priorities, periodic local travel, occasional overnight stays, storm duty support, and special projects as assigned.
