About The Position

Shure is seeking an Engineer Associate Staff, Embedded Audio Software to help build the software foundation for intelligent audio products. The role focuses on embedded software, real-time audio, digital signal processing (DSP), and machine learning. The engineer will architect and develop performance-critical software on embedded platforms, create scalable architectures, and work with DSP, machine learning, systems, research, and product teams to deliver reliable, production-ready audio experiences. The position also provides architectural leadership, mentorship, and influence over the development of next-generation audio capabilities across products and platforms. Hybrid work based out of Shure’s Niles, Illinois headquarters is preferred. The role develops real-time embedded Linux application software for multi-core ARM platforms, including multithreaded architectures, control logic, communication frameworks, and interfaces among DSP, machine learning, hardware, networking, and user-facing applications. It also involves integrating audio algorithms and models into embedded processing pipelines, supporting model deployment and optimization, and creating tools and workflows for development and validation. Shure is a global manufacturer of audio equipment, founded in 1925 and headquartered in the United States. The company describes its culture as Associate-first and offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities for all. Applicants must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States; Shure will not sponsor work visas for this position.
