About The Position

The MDA Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical oversight, development, integration, and sustainment of all current and future programs within the PMA-266 MDA portfolio. The MDA Systems Engineer receives direct tasking from the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) and MDA Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL). On a regular basis, the MDA Systems Engineer coordinates, informs, and communicates efforts with PMA-266 stakeholders, competencies, Fleet Support Team, Requirements Officers, Resource Sponsors, and Industry counterparts. Incumbent must demonstrate proficiency with NAVAIR/NAWCAD Systems Engineering processes and tools and have a strong knowledge of systems engineering processes. The MDA Systems engineer must have sound communication skills and be able to operate with minimal guidance and oversight.

Requirements

  • A Final Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with NAVAIR/NAWCAD Systems Engineering processes and tools
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes.
  • Sound communication skills
  • Ability to operate with minimal guidance and oversight.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with share point style file sharing systems.
  • Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.
  • Special Access Program experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering expertise to the MDA Integrated Product Team (IPT), supporting the integration and fielding of MDA system(s) aboard the MUX/MALE platform.
  • Develop & maintain engineering project plans, technical requirements, interface documentation, and verification plans.
  • Assess technical baseline maturation of assigned projects through System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) event planning & execution.
  • Provide technical review of program documentation; contract proposal technical review/evaluation; procurement/fielding planning and execution; and program risk management.
  • Support the execution of trade studies and impact assessments for assigned projects.
  • Support development of test strategies and flight test activities to be performed by NAVAIR test activities and/or OEMs.
  • Coordinate and review Request for Proposal (RFP), Statement of Work (SOW), and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) technical guidance and management.
  • Prepare and present technical briefs to audiences internal and external to PMA-266.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to obtain airworthiness and cyber authorizations for assigned projects.
