About The Position

Engineer 2 is an integral member of the team that creates distinctive and authentic experiences for guests at the Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa. The role responds to guest requests to support their safety and comfort, with an emphasis on turning interactions into memorable experiences. The Engineer 2 performs general maintenance, completes assigned work orders, and assists with maintenance and repairs throughout the resort.

Requirements

• At least one year in a similar position or equivalent experience in building maintenance.
• Experience using hand tools and other tools to repair and maintain equipment.
• Experience with basic diagnostic devices.
• Training in general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and carpentry knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot in these areas.
• Flexibility with work days and hours.
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact with guests.
• Knowledge of safety, facility repairs, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist other engineering personnel with routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to guest requests to ensure guests’ personal comfort.
• Perform general maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Prepare for daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects.
• Maintain appropriate time management.
• Use all equipment properly.
• Help ensure the safety and security of the property, guests, and fellow associates.
