In this Engagement Specialist - Outreach role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team, serving as the first point of contact for job seekers. You will quickly assess their needs and guide them through available employment services.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree or higher
Two (2) years of experience in career services or related fields
A genuine passion for connecting with people—both face-to-face and over the phone
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills that actually work
Comfort juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
A solid background in customer service and familiarity with popular job search websites and resources
Self-motivation and flexibility—you're a team player who thrives on collaboration

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in social services
Demonstrated success working with diverse populations and backgrounds
A track record of making meaningful connections and driving real outcomes

Responsibilities

Greet clients, manage the reception area, and conduct initial assessments of job seeker needs based on office needs
Provide social service referrals and assist job seekers in utilizing self-help resources
Screen and direct calls while maintaining accurate referral logs
Maintain accurate and confidential client and community records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards
Collaborate with team members and partner organizations to ensure seamless service delivery and resource coordination
Identify and communicate barriers to employment services to support continuous program improvement
Participate in community outreach events, job fairs, and networking activities to expand service awareness
Engage with new and existing training programs to ensure appropriate participant pipeline
Spearhead special projects and initiatives focused on growing participant pools and expanding office services.
