This role involves inspecting cross connection controls, grease traps, and related disposal mechanisms to ensure compliance with Commission and other regulations. The Enforcement Inspector will schedule appointments with property owners and operators of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential properties to survey premises for potential violations. Recommendations for remedial or corrective actions will be developed and communicated through concise reports. The inspector will also perform inspections and tests on approved backflow and grease trap devices, submit inspection reports promptly, and explain relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining electronic and written reports, operating computer systems, managing filing systems, and coordinating work with the Mass. DEP and other agencies. The role may also involve assisting in legal investigations, including court testimony.
