The Energy Sales Representative is responsible for growing Agfinity’s refined fuels, propane, lubricants, and related energy products with farm, commercial, and residential customers in an assigned territory. This role focuses on building strong relationships, closing profitable sales, and providing reliable, value-added service that supports Agfinity members and customers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of sales, account management, or customer-facing experience; energy or agricultural experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close sales.
  • Strong communication and listening skills; able to translate technical information into clear customer value.
  • Results-driven, organized, and comfortable managing a sales pipeline.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize territory activities, and follow through.
  • High school diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of frequent travel within territory and customer site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Grow energy sales and margin
  • Achieve territory sales, margin, and volume targets for fuels, propane, lubricants, and related services.
  • Proactively identify new customers and expand wallet share with existing accounts.
  • Conduct regular on-farm and commercial visits to understand customer needs, usage patterns, and decision cycles.
  • Present solutions that address reliability, safety, and cost objectives; close new accounts, contracts, and pre-buy agreements.
  • Manage an active sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts and call notes.
  • Produce 10 national account referrals for ECP business per quarter. (Contact information, gallons, and business opportunity summary)
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, ensuring high levels of responsiveness and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and customer service to ensure timely delivery and service performance.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and take action to retain and grow key accounts.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan that prioritizes high-potential accounts and prospects.
  • Use weekly sales report document to track activities, opportunities, and results.
  • Provide monthly sales report for commission payouts
  • Provide regular updates to the Energy Division Manager on territory performance and market conditions.
  • Follow all company, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements related to energy products.
  • Promote safe handling and use of energy products with customers.
