About The Position

As an Energy Manager, you’ll be part of our Global Energy and Utilities team, playing a critical role within the Global Engineering and Property Services Organization, working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to help shape the Global Energy and Utilities Strategy whose mission is to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions and reliance on public utilities. You will be responsible for working with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the Americas part of the global Energy and Utilities strategy. You will mobilize and lead teams to deliver capital projects, ultimately reducing our company’s use of water, electricity and gas while reducing carbon emissions. You will help build content and deliver training to operating site leaders and stakeholders to best equip them to make energy conservation a big part of their operating rhythms. You will conduct on-site energy audits (treasure hunts) with sites to build opportunity pipelines across the region. You will build and deliver presentations seeking funding, providing program and project updates, and program consensus building. You will keep projects updated in the company's project tracker. You will work with partners to ensure utility bills are paid on time. You will consolidate regional project opportunities and regularly communicate ‘art of the possible’ to drive awareness, support, and resourcing for energy projects. You will be responsible for and support the editing and retention of the Energy Treasure Hunt (or equivalent) platform across Global Ops. You will be responsible for content preparation and presentations to help sites identify opportunities. You will report on energy consumption and costs, associated transmission and distribution costs, budget variances, costs of exceptions, and savings achieved, monitor and utility contracts through partners and software. You will support development and deployment of energy playbook and best practices. You will assist with the preparation of BU and site level Energy Capex & Opex budgets. You will support 3- & 5-year carbon reduction goal planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Energy projects and programs in complex operating environments
  • Global mindset and experience
  • Highly skilled in presentations and consensus building
  • Project management experience, leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well organized, able to work independently in a changing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Willingness to learn internal software is an important part of day-to-day operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant Higher Degree, Engineering Degree is an advantage.
  • PEM or CEM certification a plus.
  • experience with working on Energy reduction & Carbon Emission projects.
