About The Position

Elementl Power Inc. is seeking an Energy / Infrastructure Investment Analyst to join their growing investments team. This role will report to the VP, Investments and will be crucial in supporting the evaluation, execution, and ongoing management of financial and commercial aspects of Elementl Power's portfolio as they scale their advanced nuclear and clean energy infrastructure business. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical instincts, advanced financial modeling skills, and a passion for the energy transition. They should be adept at navigating complex capital structures and project finance transactions, and capable of translating detailed analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. The role involves contributing to capital raising efforts, diligence processes, and daily investment operations, while collaborating with development, finance, legal, and external capital partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure investing, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and project finance principles.
  • Hands-on experience with complex financial modeling, including NPV, IRR, debt sizing, and tax equity structures.
  • Hands-on experience with transaction support, including investment memo preparation and diligence coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with capital raising processes and marketing material development.
  • Hands-on experience with portfolio monitoring and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (ability to build from scratch and manage complex models).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for investment committee and counterparty presentations.
  • Solid understanding of energy project economics.
  • Familiarity with wholesale power markets, commodity pricing, and the evolving energy transition landscape.
  • Detail-oriented, intellectually curious self-starter.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with ease.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with energy or infrastructure transactions, including renewables, nuclear, or power generation.
  • Familiarity with tax equity structures and clean energy financing mechanisms.
  • MBA or advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling efforts in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities, including project returns, NPV, IRR, debt sizing, tax equity structures, and power purchase agreement pricing.
  • Assess capital structures across a range of energy assets including nuclear, renewables, and broader energy infrastructure.
  • Conduct counterparty credit analysis and risk assessments in support of investment decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze energy market transactions to identify key trends in pricing, deal structures, terms, and best practices.
  • Support the execution of investment transactions, including preparation of investment memos and supporting analysis for internal approval.
  • Prepare high-quality marketing materials and data packages for capital raising, debt, and tax equity proposals.
  • Actively manage data rooms to ensure required materials are complete, organized, and accessible for third-party reviewers.
  • Assist in coordinating diligence processes with external capital partners, lenders, and advisors.
  • Track and report on the financial and operational performance of portfolio investments.
  • Maintain investment tracking tools and dashboards to provide leadership with timely, accurate data.
  • Support internal budgeting, investor reporting, accounting, and tax activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Stay current on energy market developments, regulatory changes, technology advancements, and competitive activity relevant to Elementl Power's investment strategy.
  • Monitor nuclear-specific developments, including advanced reactor technologies, SMRs, and evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., DOE 10 CFR 810, NRC regulations).
  • Provide analysis and insights on sector trends to inform investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Partner with development, finance, and legal teams to support project financing and investment execution activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for board meetings, investor updates, and other senior leadership presentations.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems across the investment function.
