Energy & Infrastructure Consulting Summer Intern
About The Position
Leidos is seeking Summer Interns to support its Energy and Infrastructure Consulting (E&IC) Division. The division applies technical, commercial, market, and environmental expertise to support the development and financing of capital-intensive energy assets and industrial projects. Areas of work include conventional and renewable power generation, biofuels, power transmission, energy storage, carbon capture and sequestration, and hydrogen. The internship offers broad exposure to site characterization and selection, contracts and equipment supply agreements, civil and structural analyses, technology reviews, electrical and control systems, construction cost and schedule, operation and maintenance costs, and environmental permitting and compliance. Candidates should be interested in an energy-industry career and willing to learn and contribute as part of a fast-paced team. The position requires an in-office experience in the Framingham, Massachusetts area.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program pursuing a degree in Engineering or Science.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and perform individual tasks.
- Ability to live in the Framingham, Massachusetts area during the internship and commit to an in-office experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience and/or coursework in Energy Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze data and information.
- Perform engineering and scientific calculations and analyses.
- Apply engineering and scientific principles to solve problems.
- Support reviews of contracts, agreements, and permits.
- Gain exposure to modeling and software applications.
- Assist in report preparation and documentation.
