About The Position

Join the Department of Human Services at the Clearfield County Assistance Office as an Energy Assistance Worker and help households stay safe and warm. Requirements

• Two years of experience in general office work which included interviewing the public; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment).
• Pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews to gather information and determine eligibility for benefits
• Validate financial and utility data to ensure compliance with program requirements
• Enter application details into the system and check the accuracy of computer results
• Prepare forms, correspondence, vendor authorizations, and notices for applicants
• Contact vendors to confirm benefit amounts and arrange delivery of heating sources
• Provide clear answers to LIHEAP questions and help applicants complete required forms
