Endowed Professor of Nursing Leadership
About The Position
The University of North Dakota's College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is dedicated to providing excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being, particularly for rural and underserved populations. The CNPD houses the state's only Nurse Anesthesia, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and PhD in nursing programs, offering innovative online programs, a simulation laboratory, and a supportive learning environment. The North Dakota Nursing Research Collaborative, initiated by UND's nursing department, focuses on integrating simulation in nursing education and addressing workforce retention. The graduate nursing department is seeking a full-time faculty member for an Endowed Professor of Nursing Leadership position. This role involves teaching, research, and service, with a focus on advancing nursing scholarship and mentoring future nurse leaders. The position requires developing research related to simulation and nursing leadership within interprofessional healthcare teams. The candidate will be hired at the rank of full professor with an offer of tenure, subject to approvals. The endowment requires renewal based on performance and funding. The successful candidate will demonstrate a nationally/internationally recognized research program, actively pursue external funding, and engage in professional and departmental/university outreach and service. Support includes salary, potential summer work agreement, a graduate research assistant, and initial discretionary research funding. This position requires an on-campus presence.

Responsibilities
- Advancing nursing scholarship, mentoring future nurse leaders, and developing research related to simulation and nursing leadership within interprofessional healthcare teams.
- Teaching in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
- Participating in professional and Departmental/University outreach and service activities.
- Coordinating scholarly activities with the college dean, associate dean, and department chair.
- Consulting with the college dean, associate dean, and department chair for service activities, ensuring consistency with department, college, and university expectations and policies.
