About The Position

Regional SurgiCenter is hiring a full-time Endoscopy Technologist to provide professional care to patients undergoing GI and pain management procedures in the surgical center, following established procedures. The role involves working cooperatively with physicians and staff and contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

The Endoscopy Technologist prepares equipment and supplies for GI procedures, anticipates physician and patient needs, assesses patients before procedures, and maintains the GI procedure area. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining equipment according to center policy and providing general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of healthcare-specific policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Conscientious, organized, and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room and GI lab environment.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in and understand English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care to patients undergoing GI and pain management procedures in accordance with established procedures.
• Work cooperatively with physicians and staff as a team member.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Assess patients prior to procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to center policy.
• Provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.
