This full-time position is responsible for participating in daily Care Team Huddles, reviewing patient medical records, abstracting pertinent data, and making notes for the provider. The role involves greeting and escorting patients, obtaining vital signs, assessing medication regimens, reconciling allergies, and engaging patients in conversation about their health. The Encounter Specialist will prepare charts, document findings, enter provider orders, provide patient instructions and educational materials, and inform patients about follow-up visits. Additional responsibilities include fulfilling patient care and clerical duties such as checking schedules, assisting patients, sending/receiving medical records, facilitating referrals, completing forms, scheduling appointments, and insurance verification. The role also requires enhancing professional growth, adhering to controlled substance regulations, practicing universal precautions, and completing training related to HCC coding.
