Requirements

  • Completed technical degree in Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 1 year of experience in Water Treatment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control (Basic)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that water quality indicators remain within established parameters, complying with the quality management system.
  • Verify the operating conditions of wells, tanks, filters, and softeners to guarantee correct water treatment.
  • Supervise the performance of laboratory tests (pH, alkalinity, TDS, nitrates, among others) to ensure the quality of processed water.
  • Coordinate sampling, resampling, and periodic analysis of water according to internal and client requirements.
  • Review water consumption by reading meters, controlling its use according to established concessions.
  • Supervise the assigned personnel, ensuring compliance with operational activities and laboratory tests.
  • Schedule shifts, vacations, permits, and overtime for personnel to ensure process continuity.
  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance of treatment equipment to avoid operational failures.
  • Manage the replacement of filtering materials to ensure the supply and efficient functioning of the system.
  • Prepare and send requests for materials, equipment, and services necessary for operation.
  • Request orders from suppliers and internal areas to avoid shortages.
  • Report mechanical or electrical failures through timely maintenance notices.
  • Control supplier invoices and evaluate the performance of services and materials used.
  • Generate reports on water and auxiliary material consumption to detect deviations and define standards.
  • Record daily operational information for the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Comply with the guidelines of the quality, safety, and environmental management system.
  • Promote continuous improvement in water treatment processes.
  • Monitor and control operational risks, establishing preventive and corrective measures.
  • Implement norms and requirements applicable to the water treatment process.
  • Communicate deviations or situations that affect quality, safety, health, or the environment.
  • Support the training and development of operational personnel's competencies.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of management system certifications and audits.
  • Promote environmental care, ensuring the efficient use of natural resources and energy.
  • Guarantee a safe working environment, complying with and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Stop processes when risks to quality, safety, or the environment are detected, informing the corresponding management.
