About The Position

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and providing patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. EMTs operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The role also participates in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations. This is a full-time opportunity starting at $18 per hour, with higher pay possible based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
