About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts, which are often nights, weekends, and holidays. The role includes assessing patients, determining and delivering necessary care, documenting patient information and treatment, maintaining a safe and clean care environment, operating an ambulance, and working collaboratively with healthcare and public safety personnel. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and community relations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Colorado EMT certification.
Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Driving record compliant with company policies.
Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT).

Nice To Haves

NREMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate EMT skills and equipment, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
Participate in community programs to maintain the company’s image and establish strong community relations.
