About The Position

Requirements

  • Current State of Michigan EMT License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving patients and carrying heavy medical equipment.
  • Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • PHTLS or ITLS certification (Note: PHTLS training can be provided upon hire).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high clinical standards while providing basic life support, including CPR, airway management, oxygen application, bleeding control, and splinting.
  • Safely operate ambulances and manage patient handling, including proficient stretcher operations, lifting, and loading.
  • Treat patients, family members, and facility staff with the utmost respect, providing both emergency and convalescent care.
  • Work under hospital-approved medical protocols and cooperate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare partners and co-workers.
