About The Position

AMR is hiring a part-time Emergency Medical Technician in Benton, Illinois. EMTs respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. The role includes assessing patients, determining and delivering appropriate care, documenting patient information and treatment, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. EMTs also operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The position may include participation in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations. Starting compensation is $18.91–$21.92 per hour. The annual amounts listed in the posting apply to full-time EMTs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools, to provide care.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws for emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
