About The Position

The EMS Registration and Billing Specialist is responsible for completing the registration process and entering charges for ambulance billing. This role involves collecting pertinent patient information for EMS Transport registration, entering charges for timely billing and reimbursement, transcribing EMS charges as documented by paramedics, inputting payer-specific data for claims submissions, and verifying insurance eligibility and benefits. The position also requires performing all other related assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • +1 year experience as a patient access representative, customer service rep, or similar administrative role
  • Excellent customer service skills; Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle problems, interruptions, and other stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate planning, organization, and ability to follow-through until a process is complete.
  • Should be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work requires frequent sitting and walking.
  • Must possess near visual acuity to read documents and computer records.
