Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in EMS, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant EMS related experience.
  • In lieu of Education: Minimum of 7 years of relevant EMS related experience.
  • Current or previous National Registry certification as a paramedic or EMT preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills to engage multiple departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships between Emory Healthcare ED care teams and EMS providers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EMS organizations, first responders, and other related partners to support system integration and growth.
  • Develop and implement outreach programs to engage EMS providers, increase awareness of Emory Healthcare services, and strengthen referral networks.
  • Coordinate and deliver EMS education, including training sessions, workshops, and continuing education programs for EMS personnel.
  • Act as a resource for EMS crews regarding hospital processes, patient intake procedures, and clinical pathways.
  • Work closely with the EHC Capacity Command Center team to optimize EMS integration into system-wide patient flow initiatives.
  • Analyze EMS transport data and trends to identify opportunities for service improvements and enhanced collaboration.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives that improve EMS provider experience and operational efficiency.
  • Support compliance with state and federal EMS regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Represent Emory Healthcare at EMS conferences, community events, and industry meetings to enhance visibility and partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in system-wide emergency preparedness planning and response efforts.
  • Provide education and training to internal staff on EMS transport policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including state and federal EMS transport guidelines.
