About The Position

EMS Academy - Trans Am Ambulance is now accepting applications for our June EMS Training Academy! This is an opportunity to transform passion into a profession. Enroll, elevate, and emerge with priority! This program is designed for individuals passionate about helping others and ready to begin a rewarding and fast-paced career in emergency medicine. The EMS Training Academy will equip participants with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and real-world experience needed to excel in the field. Graduates will be offered a full-time EMT-Basic position with Trans Am Ambulance, a proud part of the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies, with a minimum 24-month full-time employment commitment following licensure.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Hold a valid and current driver’s license
• Be able to pass a pre-employment interview
• Be able to pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP exam)
• Be able to pass a background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening)
• Be able to pass a drug screening

Nice To Haves

• Pre-work to be completed at home, on your own, before in-person instruction begins.

Responsibilities

• Full engagement with attendance to all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
• Prompt testing for License upon course completion.
• Commitment to work for Trans Am Ambulance in a full-time position for at least 2 years following licensure.
