About The Position

This is an EMS Training Academy for Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) offered by Maricopa Ambulance, a part of the Priority Ambulance family of companies. The academy is a 4-week, live, instructor-led program including classroom sessions, labs, and clinical rotations, held in Phoenix, AZ. Graduates are offered a full-time EMR position with Maricopa Ambulance with a minimum 12-month commitment following licensure. The program aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, hands-on skills, and real-world experience for a career in emergency medicine.

Requirements

• Be 21 years of age or older or turning 21 by the start of class.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid and current driver’s license.
• AZ resident for at least 1 year (Provide proof of residency).
• No debt with Maricopa Community Colleges.
• Pass a pre-employment interview.
• Pass pre-employment testing (FISDAP).
• Pass a background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening).
• Pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Attend all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
• Promptly test for License upon course completion.
• Commit to working for Maricopa Ambulance in a full-time position for at least 1 year following licensure.
