About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a seasonal Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator for their Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of empty cans to the Solbern fillers during the fresh pack season, which typically runs from August to November. The position operates on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Requirements

  • Able to communicate verbally and remain calm under stress.
  • Complies with all Food Safety Initiatives and performs duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Able to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Able to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season (typically August to early November).

Responsibilities

  • Uses proper tools to remove shrink wrap from pallets of empty cans.
  • Removes fiber or wood tops from pallets and stacks them.
  • Uses push buttons or levers to move pallets.
  • Collects tags from each pallet and turns them into quality control at the end of the shift.
  • Communicates with empty can forklift driver and/or floor leads regarding any issues.
