About The Position
The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a seasonal Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator for their Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of empty cans to the production lines, specifically the Solbern fillers. The position supports the fresh pack season, which typically runs from August to November.
Requirements
- Able to communicate verbally and remain calm under stress.
- Complies with all Food Safety Initiatives and performs duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Able to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
- Able to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to work extended schedules, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season (typically August to early November).
Responsibilities
- Uses proper tools to remove shrink wrap from pallets of empty cans.
- Removes fiber or wood tops from pallets and stacks them.
- Operates push buttons or levers to move pallets.
- Collects tags from each pallet and submits them to quality control at the end of the shift.
- Communicates with the empty can forklift driver and/or floor leads regarding any issues.
