About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a Seasonal Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator for their Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of empty cans to the Solbern fillers during the fresh pack season, which typically runs from August to November. The position operates on a swing shift from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate verbally and remain calm under stress.
  • Compliance with all Food Safety Initiatives and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to make critical decisions following company procedures.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to complete work within deadlines.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to work extended schedules, weekends, and any assigned shift during the fresh pack season (typically August to early November).

Responsibilities

  • Uses proper tools to remove shrink wrap from pallets of empty cans.
  • Removes fiber or wood tops from pallets and stacks them.
  • Operates push buttons or levers to move pallets.
  • Collects tags from each pallet and submits them to quality control at the end of the shift.
  • Communicates with the empty can forklift driver and/or floor leads regarding any issues.
