About The Position

This role supports individuals with disabilities by helping them secure and maintain employment, and by fostering their independence through community-based employment. The specialist will manage cases, develop employment relationships between clients and employers, and provide access to various employment, job training, and educational opportunities. This position involves close collaboration with state funding sources and assisting clients with job-seeking skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, travel training, and job etiquette. Creative approaches to vocational guidance, job development, job placement, job coaching, and employer relations are encouraged.

Requirements

  • Ability to use computers including Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 3 years driving experience.
  • Good driving record.
  • Use of vehicle.
  • Willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
  • Ability to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
