About The Position

Merakey is seeking an Employment Training Specialist (ETS) in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The ETS supports competitive employment as a primary outcome for consumers and provides vocational education, assessment, support, and liaison services to adults with serious mental illness. The role helps consumers secure and maintain competitive employment in the community by assessing their skills and preferences, finding compatible jobs, providing on-site training, and delivering continuing follow-up support to consumers and employers. The position reports directly to the Employment Training Specialist Manager of Supported Employment. The stated pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with the IDD population.
• Must obtain ACRES certification within six months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support competitive employment as a primary outcome for consumers.
• Provide vocational education, assessment, support, and liaison services for adults with serious mental illness.
• Assess consumers’ skills and employment preferences.
• Secure compatible employment for consumers in the community.
• Provide on-site job training.
• Provide ongoing follow-up support and services to consumers and employers.
