About The Position

Ohel's Employment Program is seeking an experienced and compassionate Employment Supervisor to lead a dedicated team supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful, competitive employment and greater independence. As a key member of the program's leadership team, you'll work closely with staff, families, care managers, employers, and community partners to strengthen employment opportunities, maintain service excellence, and drive positive outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, employment, or vocational services, OPWDD programs, or related human services strongly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
  • Valid NY or NJ driver's license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to a team of Job Coaches and Job Developers
  • Coordinate staff schedules and provide operational leadership to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with OPWDD and program standards
  • Monitor documentation, billing, productivity, and service utilization
  • Support program participants in achieving meaningful employment goals through effective vocational planning
  • Participate in Life Plan and interdisciplinary meetings to advocate for employment outcomes
  • Build strong partnerships with families, residences, employers, care managers, and community organizations
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations, solve challenges proactively, and enhance program effectiveness
  • Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development
