About The Position

Easterseals Maine delivers education, workforce development, health, and economic development programs that empower people across the state—including individuals with disabilities, military service members and families, veterans, people with mental health challenges, and others facing systemic barriers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in workforce development, veteran services, corrections/reentry, case management, employment services, peer support, community outreach, or a related field (required).
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel statewide, including correctional facilities (required).
  • Veteran of the United States Armed Forces or National Guard.
  • Experience working with justice-involved veterans or people returning from correctional settings.
  • Experience using case-management and workforce reporting systems.
  • Strong ability to engage participants facing multiple barriers and maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and accurate documentation (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, workforce development, criminal justice, social services, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Maine CareerCenters/JVSG, VA/VJO, SSVF, housing programs, apprenticeship, or employer development.
  • Training in military cultural competency, crisis response, suicide prevention, or Mental Health First Aid.
