About The Position
The Employment Specialist IV helps individuals receiving behavioral health services find and maintain meaningful employment. The role works one-on-one with job seekers to identify career goals, connect them with employers and community resources, and provide ongoing support through job placement. The position serves communities throughout York County, Maine, and collaborates with healthcare providers, community organizations, employers, and support networks to promote inclusive employment and long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Meet with individuals to discuss career interests, skills, strengths, and job goals.
- Help participants search for jobs, prepare resumes, and practice interview skills.
- Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities.
- Connect individuals with community resources that support employment success.
- Provide coaching and support before, during, and after job placement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and support networks.
- Maintain documentation and track participant progress.
- Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities throughout the community.
