About The Position

RISE Employment Mentors provide individualized, one-on-one, on-the-job training and support to help clients meet their employment needs. Support includes developing job-keeping behaviors and task skills, conducting task analysis, developing natural supports, and identifying and implementing reasonable accommodations at the job site. Employment Mentors advocate for clients at work, document daily progress, and conduct periodic evaluations to determine whether clients are meeting their goals. Because the role involves autonomy, employees must maintain accurate time and mileage logs and billing information.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance.
Ability to pass a background check.
Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification; certification is provided by RISE.

Responsibilities

Support and encourage people to maintain their jobs.
Provide individualized, one-on-one, on-the-job training and support.
Help clients develop job-keeping behaviors and skills for completing specific tasks.
Conduct task analysis and develop natural supports.
Identify and implement reasonable accommodations at job sites.
Advocate for clients at their job sites.
Communicate with clients' job-site supervisors about services and progress.
Document clients' daily progress and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure they are meeting their goals.
Maintain accurate time and mileage logs and billing information.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude and appropriate communication and appearance.
