About The Position

Princeton Medical Group, P.A. is a private medical practice with over 30 providers and 8 medical specialties. Our mission has always been to deliver excellent medical care with compassion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, offering guidance and solutions to employees and managers under the direction of HR leadership. The specialist will also provide coaching to leaders on employee performance and conflict management, conduct unbiased investigations, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong practical knowledge, understanding, and experience in the application of Federal and State HR laws.
  • 2-3 years' experience in employee relations including conducting investigations, employee discipline sessions, and employee performance reviews.
  • Experience partnering with managers and company leaders on employee relations issues.
  • Exceptional communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct fair, thorough, and confidential investigations.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • PHR certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, offering guidance and solutions to employees and managers under the direction of HR leadership.
  • Provide coaching to leaders on employee performance and conflict management.
  • Conduct unbiased investigations into complaints.
  • Document investigations, maintain confidentiality, and ensure findings and recommendations are sound and legally compliant.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution discussions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA).
  • Guide managers through performance improvement plans (PIPs), disciplinary actions, and documentation best practices.
  • Support training and development functions for employees.
  • Take lead on employee engagement initiatives.
  • Fill in to support the other HR functions (recruitment, benefits, etc.) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
